AIKYATHA 2013-2014
Aikyatha, the Talent Fest was celebrated on the campus on 10th July 2013. Aikyatha aims to showcase the talents of the students of the ICSE/ISC schools of the twin cities. Aikyatha featured interschool competitions in Languages, Humanities and Sciences.
The day began with the welcome address delivered by the Vice-Principal, Mr.V.V.Seshu followed by the lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries. The Invocation Dance highlighted the qualities of Lord Ganesha, the destroyer of obstacles.
Competitions like Picture Composition across Telugu, Hindi and English, Mathematics Challenge (Individual and Group) were conducted at Katyas Korner and Anveshana blocks. The competitions proved enjoyable for participants.
Quiz and Debate competitions were enjoyed by all. The Science Behind the situation competition brought out many unknown scientific facts behind our common customs and rituals. The morning session ended with a delicious and mouthwatering lunch offered by Abhyasa.
After the lunch all the participants from the other school also visited the Science Exhibition arranged in the Physics, Chemistry and Biology labs. The theme of the exhibition of was based on Air, Water and Machines, this time. All the models displayed in the exhibition were very much appreciated by the visitors and even by the judges who visited the exhibition.
The post lunch session began with the model presentation where students presented and explained their science models. This was followed by the Telugu Just A Minute which was very exciting and interesting for all the audience. This competition was followed by the hilarious Hindi Hasya Kavitha. The Priyanka's Play Pen with the echos of laughters of the audience. Later the participants of the Telugu Folk Songs rocked the stage. The performances were exciting and every one enjoyed all the presentations. This was followed by the magic square dance, the special feature dance by Abhyasites. All judges praised Abhyasa for her efforts of getting many students across the schools on one platform and offer them a great platform to learn together. Later, the winners of different winners were given away prizes by the Director and Founder Principal, Mr.Vinaayaka Kalleetla, Principal In-charge – Mrs.Murthy and by the judges. Director and Founder Principal, Mr.Vinaayaka Kalleetla thanked all the different schools for attending this programme and commended the participants for their enthusiastic presentations. The programme ended with a group photograph taken with all the participants in the Anubhav, the Amphi Theatre.
On the whole Aikyatha, the talent fest was resounding success. We thank each and every one who made this occasion a grand success. Viva La Fest!!!!

- Nobel Peace Prize winner and Chairperson for United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Dr. Rajendra Pachauri was the keynote speaker at the Opening Ceremony.
- The event was supported by the United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan (UNIC)
- Ms. Binalakshmi Nepram, who's been recently named among the World Top 100 most influential people in reducing armed violence, inspired the students with her talk on disarmament and women empowerment.
- Dr. P V Ramesh, the Principal-Secretary, Finance for the Govt of Andhra Pradesh, India addressed the students as well.
- High school young leaders across the globe would be attended the conference
- Vodafone India was one of the biggest corporate supporters of HMUN India over the past 2 years. It was a very colourful and delightful experience for the students who learnt a lot during this international seminar targeted for students.
