IX National Sports Meet

The National sports meet was organised by The Association of ICSE/ISC Schools, A.P. Region, Hyderabad between 11-11-2005 and 13-11-2005 at R.R.C. Grounds.

The following students represented Abhyasa at the National Meet for Basketball:

• Tanvi Dattani - Juniors - Winner
• Ajinkya Daware - Jrs (boys) - Runner up
• M. Sanjay Swamy - Srs (Boys) - 3rd Place
• Nikhil Salve - Srs (Boys) - 3rd Place

Horlicks Activity - 2005

Out of the 53 schools which participated in 35 different varieties of competitions ranging from Fusion dance, photography, short play, Essay writing, Bindi Design, Mehendi Design. Painting, drawing, sketching, calligraphy and so on, Abhyasa made its mark in the following fields:

• Short play
  "Abhyudaya - The Awakening" - 1st Place.
• English Essay Writing
  Master Preetam Baruah Class X - 1st place
• Regional Language Essay writing Competition
  Master Bhagwan Reddy class X 1st place
• Calligraphy
  Master Amar Jyothi Sonowal class X 1st place
• Pot painting
  Master Sanjay Swamy class XII - 2nd place - in category - A
• Flower Arrangement
  Master Sanjay Swamy class XII - 3id place
• The Indian Style Act
  The theme 'Indian Fashion stands tall in the world' won a special jury award for its excellent concept, costumes, choreography and co-ordination.
• In the Wiz kids Activity where the competence and character of a child is tested, Abhyasites Ms. Samhita and Master Mangesh Joshi of class VII could qualify in the initial rounds to enter the prestigious finals.
  
• The most important of all, the school received the Best Teacher Co- Ordinator A ward for its meticulous planning and implementation of student training, transport & participation in the events. Being at the venue on time with around 150 students each day despite the distance of 60 odd kms!
  
• The organizers also told us that Abhyasites were among the top 10 rankers in all the activities that the school had participated - considering the fact that all the best and top schools of Hyderabad participated in this event of Horlicks Wiz Kids - 2005.
  

II. English Debate competition : Conducted by St. Ann's Girls High School, Secunderabad, on 22nd July, 2005, Abhyasa students Master Aditya Deshbandhu (X1) and Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi (XII), emerged as Runners up.

Mr. V. V.S. Karthik and Mr. Chaitanya of class X participated in the Frank Anthony Memorial All India - Inter - School Debate competition held at the Kalpa school, Hyd. on 17th June. 2005.

Hindu Young World Quiz

Out of the three teams represented by Abhyasa at the Hindu Young World Quiz contest conducted every year by The Hindu, the team comprising of Master. Aditya Deshbandhu of Glass Xl and Adarsh Devineni of Class XII, returned with the title, "Second Best Out Station team" beating 114 opponent teams, on 22nd August, 2005. The Quiz was held at Han Harakala Bhavan, Secunderabad.

XIV A. P Regional ISC & ICSE Schools Sports Meet, 2005

This year, the XIV A. P. Regional ISC & ICSE Schools Sports Meet was held at St. Joseph's Public School, Habsiguda, Hyderabad, between 10.09.2005 and 12.09.2005 where 30 ICSE Schools and 07 1SC Schools competed with each other. Abhyasa sent a contingent of 56 students of boys and girls. In Basket Ball, the ISC team of Abhyasa reached up to semifinals. In the various Athletic events, Abhyasites this year romped home with medals galore. Following is the medals tally.
