Toopran Mandal Youth Games 2018-19

Few days after the extravagant sports day event in the campus, the Abhyasa had organised another sportive event “TOOPRAN MANDAL YOUTH GAMES 2018-19 on 21st and 22nd of this month on the occasion of Sri Satya Sai Baba’s 92nd birthday celebrations here in Abhyasa. The Priyanka’s play ground had been setup completely for the students of different schools in Toopran Mandal to come forward to participate.

The Priyanka’s play ground has regained its sportious spirit back again with the hard work of the class 11 students. The students of class 11 have taken an initiative and the whole responsibility of conducting -‘THE Toopran Mandal YOUTH GAMES’ 2018-19. The students renewed the volley ball, Kho-Kho courts completely for the event. On the first day, students from various schools in Toopan have come along for the opening ceremony where the, Sub-Inspector of Police Mr.Subash garu had been invited as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was escorted by Student Managers from the front office to the play ground. Then the students from each school, participated in the Olympic Torch run around the ground holding the torch.

After the lighting of the lamp the Chief Guest was felicitated. The games were started by the Chief Guest playing volley ball. Many schools participated in different sports which were organised by the 11th graders.

The students played with a great spirit of sportsmanship. For the first day the games were held only for the girls. The scorers and the referees were the 11th class students. Simultaneously the other games like 100mts Run & Kho Kho were conducted.

The Very next day,i.e. 22nd Nov 2018, Games for Toopran Mandal School Boys $ for Youth were conducted.

Totally Students from from 14 Different Schools and 12 Youth Clubs were participated. Lunch and Refreshments were arranged for the players as well as for Coaches & School Authorities. Games finished by 3.30pm in the evening.

Ice Breaking Ceremony - 2018

Abhyasa family welcomes all the new students to the campus.

A tradition which is followed every year at the campus is the Ice Breaking Ceremony; the students mingle with the newly joined students.

The Objective of the ceremony is to make the new inmates of Abhyasa feel comfortable at easy as this would their home away from home.

With the blessings of Bhagawan Shri Satya Sai Baba, the whole school gathered for the program which started at 05:30 pm on June 10th 2018 at PlayPen which was decorated magnificently to welcome the new students.

The Program commenced with a Devotional Prayer recital sung by Class 8th & 9th Girl Students, followed by the next which is Dance Performance by Girl Students from Class 7th, to the tunes of Bollywood chartbusters which set the tempo for the evening.

To involve and make the New Students feel welcomed, students where called upon to stage for the next program called ISD, a game where the student needs to introduce themselves, sing or Dance. Many of the students were very sportive and came forward on to the stage danced and sang much to the delight of the audience. Few of the new students also came up to the stage voluntarily & took part in the fun game.

Senior Girls of Class IX danced to the tunes of the new Bollywood numbers and everyone cheered them. This was followed by Style Act by Class XI all together New & Old which was amazing and a ball game which was fun to watch.

Towards the end all the new students were allotted with Buddies…. Buddies are the old students of Abhyasa who will help the new students understand & adapt to the system and procedures of Abhyas.

This was followed by a session with our CEO Sir Mr Vinaayaka Kalleetla to retrospect and understand how to make the stay in Abhyasa comfortable for the new students.

This was followed by an incredible dinner and all the students went back to the respected dorms.

Eid-ul-Fitr (Ramadan) celebrations at Abhyasa - 2018

Eid-ul-Fitr is a festival of prayers, joy, happiness, and brotherhood marking the end of the fast of Ramadan.

At Abhyasa, Eid was celebrated with great fervor and excitement. Distribution of the food is service to humanity students of Class X took to the streets of Toopran to distribute food among the poor. Later in the Evening Students were taken to the Mosque in Toopran for Prayers.

At the Mosque, the priest explained how Eid comes as a reward for those who have remained pure and noble at heart during the holy month of Ramadan and followed the path of God & also explained the intricacies of Eid and brought the cultural aspects of the celebration into focus, by describe the various preparations of sewai made on the occasion and also inform them about how this festival brings special cheer for the children as they wear new clothes and get money or Eidi and sweet on the occasion also reiterated the importance of celebrating this festival by sharing joys, meeting others, distributing sweets among their loved ones and giving alms to the needy.

The Abhyasa Students were not behind in celebrating Eid with the same enthusiasm. In fact they came dressed in the traditional attire and learnt how to meet and greet friends and relatives, and how to offer them sweet delicacies on Eid.

Scouts Rajya Purashkar Awardees from Abhyasa
5 students of Abhyasa have been selected for Rajya Purashkar Award of The Bharat Scouts and Guides (BSG) which will be presented by the Governor of Telangana State on the Republic Day 2019. The students were tested in the Rajya Purashkar Award Testing Camp for Scouts held from 14th July 2018 to 18th July 2018 at Hyderabad. Total 93 students from various schools from different districts of Telangana have attended the testing camp. Rajya Puraskar is the highest award in the State for Scouts and Guides activities. The students are M. Vishnu Revanth Reddy, Abhiram Vadlamudi, D. Varshith Reddy, V. Sai Chandra and Shakti Sai Charan.

Visit to Telangana State Forest Academy (TSFA)

On Sunday, 17th June 2018, the students of Class VIII were very excited, curious and enthusiastic for the Educational Field trip to TELANGANA STATE FOREST ACADEMY (TSFA), Dulapally. They were accompanied by 4 teacher’s Mrs.Srujana, Mr.Biswal, Mr.Balaji and Mr.Sudhakar. The team had breakfast and left the campus by 8:45a.m in the school bus and reached the spot by 9:45am.

At the TSFA the group was received by the Forest officers Mr. Dharma Chandra, Ms. Das, Mr. Lolo and Mr. Ajay Kumar (STARS). Mr. Dharma Chandra, the Chief Coordinator Officer welcomed them to the academy and lead the group forward.

Spread in 75 hectares, TSFA is home to several trees, medicinal plants, shrubs and many animals. Many Forest Officials get trained at different levels in this academy.

The group was first guided to the medicinal garden where knowledge about herbal plants like Tulasi, Aloe vera, Vaamu, Vassa, Ashwaganda, sarpagandha, Japanese mint etc. were gained. The students tasted pepper mint leaves, ashwagandha and other leaves. They were explained about the significance of these plants as they help in curing nerve disorders, diabetes, ulcers etc.

Later the group was taken to an artificial pond known as lily pond (check dam) which was originally a stone quarry site which was reclaimed and water lilies were planted.

Then the students and teacher in-charges were divided into two groups assisted by two forest officers for nature walk in forest area. It was an adventurous and nail-biting experience to walk in forest filled with various trees viz. Teak, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Nallamadi , Tiumanu, Kodisha, Vaka, Nakkera etc. Then the groups went on trekking and mountaineering, following all safety precautions, on the rocks in the forest and had a beautiful view of forest at about 30 feet height.

After returning to the base the group had lunch and took rest for one hour. Later the students formed into groups and had fun time playing games like kabaddi, cricket and relay race. By 4:30pm they started back to campus.

Sensitization program for Children towards Security & Self Defence

The students of class VIII have been chosen to receive the special sensitization and orientation program to spread security awareness, training on various life saving skills viz. self defence technique (unarmed combat), handling and extinguishing fire, Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, do’s and don’ts during terror attack etc. at the National Industrial Security Academy (NISA) Hyderabad on 23rd July 2018. At the academy the children witnessed the various demonstrations given by the NISA Staff and also had an opportunity to physically hold the weapons on display. The students were also shown how each weapon is used. The students had an interesting and exciting experience of 4 hours at the academy. NRSC Visit by Abhyasa Space Club

Module III students of Abhyasa Space Club had the unique & rare opportunity to visit the ISRO-NRSC (National Remote Sensing Centre), Balanagar campus, Hyderabad.

National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC) is one of the constituent Centres of Indian Space Research Organization, responsible for the Ground Segment of Remote Sensing Programmer through satellite data acquisition, archival, processing, dissemination, Remote Sensing Applications and Training.

At NRSC, the students visited the exhibition of various communication & Remote sensing satellite models, rocket models like GSLV, PSLV and have seen the video clippings as well live demos of the rocket launches. Students had a clear understanding on Rockets, Satellites and related technologies, Remote Sensing Images etc. Students also had live Interaction with the scientists on scientific & motivational lectures from eminent Scientists of NRSC.

Abhyasa wins the Kabaddi Tournament

Abhyasa Seniors thrashed HPS in the final match of the inaugural Kabaddi tournament held at Abhyasa International Residential School on 29th July 2018. The tournament was conducted by the CISCE, New Delhi for all its associated schools of A.P and Telangana Region in its XXVII Regional Games and Sports Meet 2018. Total 14 schools from across AP & Telangana have participated in both the Seniors and Juniors category. In Seniors category, Abhyasa beat HPS, Begumpet to clinch Gold.

Earlier a grand inaugural ceremony was performed by the students of Abhyasa. The Chief Guest, Mr. Mir Hafeesuddin Ahmed, Principal of NASR School was accompanied by Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla, CEO & Founder Director of the School in a procession from the Administrative Block to the ‘Priyanka’s Playground’. The procession was led by the students dressed as pothrajus and Goddess Mahankali as in Bonalu festival of Telangana region. A solo invocation dance performance by Kumari Niyati a class IX student followed by a group folk dance by the junior girls of class V & VI added color and flavor to the opening ceremony. Later, the chief guest hoisted the Association Flag, inspected the parade of the participant students from various schools and then declared open the Kabaddi Tournament Meet by releasing 2 white doves. He administered the oath and then lighted the Meet torch which was carried by all the participating team captains and was handed over to Master Madhav, captain of Abhyasa Team to light the Meet Flame. Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla, felicitated the Chief Guest with a gift, memento and a shawl before appreciating and thanking the Kabaddi Federation officials.

Bonalu Celebrated with colour and custom

It’s the auspicious month of Ashadha and time for display of devotion and celebration of a lively festival. On 5th August 2018, Abhyasa Staff & Students celebrated Bonalu Festival in the traditional way. This special celebration of Bonalu, the Telangana state festival was marked by a riot of colour, customs and dance. The Students were in traditional attire, carried Bonnam – new earthen pots containing rice cooked with jaggery, milk, adorned with Neem leaves, Turmeric (Haldi) and Vermilon (Kumkum) – on their heads in a procession led by two Pothrajus & drum beats. The procession started from the school temple and ended at the Goddess Pochamma Temple under the Banyan Tree. They followed traditional rituals by performing Aarti and singing hymns in the name of Goddess.

Onam Celebrations

Onam, one of the biggest festivals of Kerala is celebrated with much fanfare and exuberance every year at Abhyasa. This year, on 25th August 2018 as many as 5 floral carpets, known as Pookkalam have been made out of the gathered blossoms of several varieties of flowers of differing tints to make design and decorate patterns on floor like a flower mat with lamps arranged in the middle or edges. These works of religious art have been done by the team of girl students and women staff, who accomplished it with a delicate touch and a personal artistic sense of tone and blending. According to legend, Onam celebrates the return of the King Mahabali to Kerala. All the festivities during Onam are mainly preparations to welcome him. Mahabali was considered to be a very kind and generous ruler. In fact, the period during which he ruled over Kerala is often referred to as the Golden period.

Abhyasa students celebrated Raksha Bhandan

On 26th August 2018, Abhyasa students celebrated Raksha Bhandan, a hindu festival that celebrates the love, affection and care between brothers and sisters. It was a very special day at our home Abhyasa. Rakhi is the physical symbol of the emotions involved with the festival. It is the sentiments that matter on this day and what can be a better expression of the sisterly love than a self made rakhi. It always adds that special touch to make one lovingly at home. The girl students started preparing rakhis from a week before using silk and cotton threads, beads, sequins, kundans, pearls, scissors, glue etc. On the special day, dressed in their best traditional dresses, the sisters prepared pooja thali with rakhis , sweets and diyas and tied rakhis on the wrists of the brothers and wished for their well being. On the other hand, the brothers acknowledged their love with a promise that they will remain by their sisters’ side and protect them from every fall and down throughout the life. In Indian tradition, the frangible thread of rakhi is considered even stronger than an iron chain as it strongly binds a brother and a sister in the circumference of mutual love and trust. The celebrations ended with songs, dances and sumptuous dinner.

Krishna Janmashtami Celebrations

Krishna Janmashtami celebrates the birth of Lord Krishna. Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the Abhyasites. Dance-drama enactments on the life of Krishna, devotional singing and breaking an earthen pot containing curd famously known as ‘Dahi Handi’ were part of the Janmashtami celebrations at Abhyasa on 2nd September 2018.

Junior students dressed up as Krishna, Radha, Gopikas and other colorful outfits. They made and wore mukuts (head-gears) and decorated matkas(pots) & flutes. The senior school students decorated the Priyanka’s Playpen colorfully with flowers, rangoli and even made a Krishna Jhoola for the little Krishna. A special assembly was conducted to mark the birth of the deity where songs and bhajans on Krishna were sung by the staff and the students. The entire Priyanka’s Playpen was transformed into a land of joy, celebrations and happiness with glitter of lamps, fragrance of flowers, jingle of the bells and soothing aroma of prasadam. Later, in the Dahi handi breaking ceremony the staff and students of all the classes have participated and tried their best in breaking the pot & enjoyed a lot as a family. The celebrations ended with a sumptuous dinner in the school dining hall. The involvement of the students in the celebrations at such a tender age was worth applauding.

Teacher's Day Celebrations 2018

Teacher’s Day or ‘Guru Divas’ was celebrated with great fervor on 5th September 2018 in the Amphitheatre of the school. The Members of the Student Council, who had been preparing for the grand day for more than a week, organized a great show dedicated to their teachers. The day was buzzed with excitement and smiles all around.

The Students escorted all the teachers in a procession to the assembly and made them sit on the chairs earmarked for them and performed “Paada Pooja” in the Indian Culture and traditional way to honor the Guru. Paada Pooja is a form of worshipping one’s Guru by washing their feet. It has immense spiritual importance in Vedic traditions. The Paada Pooja ritual signifies total surrender of one’s ego and considers the divine nature of the person whom you are doing Paada Pooja. Teachers blessed the students for their bright future & Success in life. The Ground was filled with sparks of Emotions between Guru & Chela.

After the Paada Pooja the students enacted a skit to show the hardships and sacrifices a teacher makes for the benefit of the students. Later they entertained the teachers with songs and dances. The rocking performances made everybody stunned. During lunch the students served their beloved teachers with delicious lunch.

Educational World: Indian School Ranking Award 2018-19

For the 6th consecutive year, Abhyasa International Residential School has bagged the Educational World India School Rankings Award among the top 2 Co-ed Residential schools in Telangana & Top 16 in India from 1,000 schools surveyed independently across the country. This year a sample of 12, 214 educationists, principals, parents, teachers & students in 27 cities and education hubs across India were interviewed without the involvement of any schools on 14 parameters of education excellence – to arrive at the final rankings!!

Independence Day 2018

72 years of beauty, 72 years of glory, 72 years of history reaching heights after great freedom struggles by various freedom fighters who have sacrificed their lives fighting for the freedom of our country against the British, and 72 years ago today 15th august 1947 India has got freedom from the trouble of the British. To remark the struggle of the great freedom fighters and leaders who’ve stood front and fought against the British for the freedom of our nation the Abhyasa International School had celebrated the Independence Day with a full spirit of patriotism and respect to the nation.

The Priyanka’s Play ground was beautifully decorated with tri coloured flag ropes all over which was giving a patriotic atmosphere wholly in the ground and a huge tri coloured Rangoli of the Indian outline map has depicted the beauty of Hindustan. The day started with the march past by the students of all classes giving salutations to the chief guest of the day Mr. Seshu Babu Garuthe Dean of academics of the Abhyasa International School. Right after the march past Mr. Seshu Babu hoisted the National Flag and the whole school joined their voices aloud and sang the national anthem with great spirit of patriotism. The program continued further with the speech of the chief guest and ended with a patriotic song.

Later, in the day a cultural program with different competitions was organised by the Vice Principal Mr. Ravindran Garu, students right from class 4 have taken an active part in these competitions and showed their complete respect towards their nation. Competitions such as patriotic skit with the theme of Unity in diversity in which the junior class students enacted amazing skits, next was a group singing competition in which students sang melodious patriotic songs and then the program moved on to group dance competitions in which students have performed eye catching dances to the patriotic songs and then there was a balloon fight competition held for the junior class students.

Totally, the day ended with a happy note and the students have really enjoyed the celebrations well organised by vice principal Mr. Ravindran Garu.

Later in the afternoon the Rural Service Management Team along with the 10th class students have moved on out of the campus for food distribution in Toopran to remark the struggle of freedom fighters and celebrating the 72 Independence Day.

Off Sunset, The CEO and Founder Director, Shree Vinaayaka Kalleetla Garu, had addressed the students and enlightened about how the country is should be lead forward by the leaders of tomorrow and that greed is the main problem among every Indian and that when greed is completely removed only then a man can survive without any problems.

Aikyatha 2018 Budding Talents from many schools showcased at the Aikyatha fest

One of the jewels in the crown of Abhyasa is its annual Aiykatha fest. The event provides a unique opportunity to the students of the ICSE & ISC schools to showcase their talents in the fields of Literature, Arts, Music, Performing Arts, Crafts and Science.

All the roads of Hyderabad let to Abhyasa. The campus was brimming with a confluence of budding talents from 11 schools where each one was poised to give out their best in a bit to out do the other. The unique part of this fest is the student judge selected by the representative of each school to judge the participants of various competitions to ensure fairness in all the judgements given.

The eventkicked off with Character Discovery where participants rendered inspirational speeches of various leaders. Abhyasa’s Head Girl Sushma Siri declaimed as the leader of the fascist army Benito Mussolini whichset the stage on fire.In the JAM session held in Hindi, Telugu and English, students ability on giving an extempore as per the given topic was adjudged.

There was a folk singing competition with background music and students came up with a large variety of folk songs in Hindi and Telugu creating a mosaic of various tribes and regions.The comedy skit competition, a group activity hadstudents collaborating with each other’s ideas to enact a skit on the stage. Students performedhumorous, comical and moral value-based skits.

Science model presentation,Mathematical competitions such as Sudoku, Quiz competition, Photography and short film making were also conducted on the occasion. After a delicious lunch break the event concluded with exhibit making and stamp designing competition. Many eye-catching exhibits crafted out of the waste were seen.

Abhyasa’s CEO and Founder Director Sri Vinaayaka Kalleetla’s speech inspired students to participate in such competitions more vigorously to bring out their talents. Prizes were given to the all the winners in various competitions. The students and the staff from various schools were overwhelmed with the hospitality of Abhyasa. The event concluded with the group photograph of the participants.

De Addiction Camp 2018

Today, people of the Toopran village have been enlightened with the motive of saving the environment and their own lives. With the growing air pollution which is causing major harm to the environment and people living a locality mainly due to the smoke of cigarettes which also effects the lungs of the person who smokes, and to keep a check to this growing danger today the students of the Abhyasa International School have conducted a De-addiction camp in the Toopran village to make people aware of the growing concerns due to smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol. The students at first when saw someone smoking have moved towards them and spoke to them about the ill effects of smoking cigarettes and showed them some charts which depicted the transformation of lungs from normal stage to the end stage where the lungs turn black.

Later, the students have gathered a huge crowd and spoke about the harmful of effects of smoking cigarettes and consuming alcohol, as such smoking would be a regard to air pollution and the smoke would also effect the others who are breathing near that locality. They’ve made few people put an end to smoking cigarettes right out there by explaining about how it would gradually effect their lives, which would cost a lot to their families in turn too.

With this social step the Abhyasa School has shown concern to the global environment and also people’s lives.

Blood Donation 2018

A warm day with a fine morning, a day to make everyone keep up the humanity and Abhyasa has given a chance to the parents to show their humanity and respect towards it. As every year, even this year Abhyasa has organised the A Blood Donation Camp was organised at Abhyasa School in coordination with Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust. The event coincided with the parents visit. Almost 50 parents volunteered for the social cause by donating their blood.The school offered fruits and juices to the donors.

The school recognized the noble endeavour of the parents by issuing certificates of appreciation. The event was conducted by the student Rural Service Management.

Founders Day 2018

Today Abhyasa was overwhelmed with joy and was looking colourful with lights and beautiful decorations all around the campus. Children were eager to wish the CEO & Founder Director of Abhyasa, Shri Vinaayak Kalleetla Garuon his 53rd birthday which is celebrated as founder’s day every year in Abhyasa.

Founders day is celebrated every year on 6th of September which is also the birthday of our CEO & Founder Director Vinaayak Sir, this day is celebrated to recognise and respect the key people who had setup and found this beautiful heaven called school known as Abhyasa.

Today the amphi theatre was beautifully decorated and the celebrations kicked off right after when Vinaayak Sir has entered the amphi theatre along with his parents Mr & Mrs. Rangadas Kalleetla who are the founders of Abhyasa. The celebrations began after lighting of lamp by Vinaayak Sir with the blessings of the divine Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba, it was a joyous evening as children from all the classes were involved in all the cultural programs on the stage. It all started with an invocation song and dance by the school choir and classical dancers and it continued with the dragon dance by which the stage was lit up with their extravagant performance which was eye catching all over. Then all the dance groups collectively made a grand finale performance which stole the hearts of the audience present in the amphi theatre.

Then it was time to celebrate and mark the moment of the founder’s day and also CEO Sir’s birthday. The cake cutting ceremony was the moment of the evening with colourful fireworks bursting in the sky which lasted for almost 10 minutes. Children were involved in singing the birthday song and watching the fireworks show. Then, on the request of students and the staff our CEO sir were made to do a painting which had stunned all the audience present in the evening.

After a short break of dinner, then the celebrations headed for the batch release function of the class 9 students. The students made CEO sir release their batch poster named Avigna and put the stage on fire with some rocking dance performances.

The celebrations ended with the speech of CEO sir who had thanked all the students and staff for all the love and affective celebrations on his 53rd birthday and sir had also mentioned about the surprise by the students of class 12 that they’ve gifted him an adorable puppy dog and that he had named her Abedhya which means indiscriminative.

Overall Abhyasa was completely involved in the celebrations and made the day of the founders!

Gandhi Jayanti 2018
Mahatma Gandhi (October 2, 1869 to January 30, 1948) was the leader of India’s non-violent independence movement against British rule and in South Africa who advocated for the civil rights of Indians. Born in Porbandar, India, Gandhi studied law and organized boycotts against British institutions in peaceful forms of civil disobedience. He was killed by a fanatic in 1948. Today Abhyasa was involved with a full spirit of patriotism and respect to the Mahatma and celebrated the Gandhi Jayanti. The students were enlightened with a brief history and sacrifices of the father of our nation in the assembly and paid tributes to Gandhiji. The dean of academics Mr. SeshuBabu had taken keen interest and told the students the importance and the major events happened in the Mahatma’s life and how he had fought for the freedom of our nation. Later in the afternoon, the Rural Service Management had taken an initiative on this day and as part of the Swachtha Hi Seva Programme and gone out of the campus to the Gandhi chowk and conducted a clean drive at the arena, cleaned the statue and garlanded Bapuji’s statue and sung the devotional Raghupathi Raghav Raja Ram to mark his 149th Birth anniversary. The students of Class 9 had taken an active part in this programme and involved in this social activity and paid tributes respecting the father of our nation.
Annual Sports Day at Abhyasa - 2018

Games & Sports are the most fascinating & fundamental part of School Curriculum. As winter falls, we at Abhyasa worked together as a team to put up / show cases the sporting abilities of Abhyasites.

In Abhyasa, as a practice, Annual Sports Day is held on the last day of First Semester. This time the date set was Oct 14, 2018.

Mr. M. V. Krishna Rao belongs to 1974 Batch of Indian Police Service, AP Cadre was the Chief Guest for the occasion. To welcome our Chief Guest a grand welcome was arranged from High Way up to the School. This was followed by a magnificent procession from the School Temple which was carried forward by different troops / exhibit like Students walking on Stilts, followed by the Colorful Dragons & Lion dance with the Rhythmic School band taken by the Escorts to the ground.

The Chief Guest along with Our Chairman & C.E.O. Sir Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla Garu went for inspection of the troops.

After the round of inspection of troop, the invocation song was coupled with the lighting of lamp by our Chairman & C.E.O. Sir Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla Garu. The participants for the invocation dance where students of Class 9 & 11 – Girls.

This was followed by March Past of the Students Lead by Our School Head Boy Master Surya Teja Bala Devarakonda, our National Sports Participants, along with the 09 management groups were lead by their Managers, Deputies, followed by Shiva House & Shakti House with their Captains, & Abhyasa runs a Free School – ‘Aalingana’ these students too showcased their Marching ability which was a treat to watch.

The Chief Guest Mr M V Krishna Rao, received Salute from the troops. The troops settled in their position after which the Managers came forward for Oath of Sports Meet. And Mr M V Krishna Rao, Released the Pigeon to freedom, as a token of Peace and Declared the Sports meet open.

After administration of the oath, the Olympic flame was taken round the ground by our National Athletes Master Madhav of Class XII who along with the National Games Medal Winners lit the Olympic flame.

The Sport meet was declared open. The participating students were divided into different groups to perform different sports Displays.

The Displays began with a performance by Aalingana (Free School run by Abhyasa for the under privileged children of Toopran) who performed the Clap Drill Moments & Formations of letters AALINGANA.

Yoga sub junior students performed Asanas and formations on the parallel bars.

Martial Arts students show cased their talents with different “Kumute” forms this was done by sub junior boys.

The bubbling girls of Class 9 displayed Aerobics Dance moves & Flexibility, Balance & Co ordination.

The Tiny Tots – Girls of Class 4 to 6 show cased their Skipping actions & stunts with skipping rope.

The Students of Class 9 Boys showcased the shadow shots of Volleyball & Badminton.

Skating & Cycling Students of Class 6 to 8 performed great stunts on the ground, jumping, bending which was challenging.

Chinese Traditional Dance forms Dragon & Lion were shown by our girls from Class 7 & 8, Audience were cheering the group, stunned by its color & coordination of movements. Junior Boys demonstrated the Army Drill & Mock Rescue operation by Indian Army.

Athletics students demonstrated the Commando training Hurdles & obstacles levels of strength needed to survive in the war.

Students wait to show that their parents are the best and for this they push they parents to participate in the Parents Games which motivates the parents to be agile & involved which brings smile to the face of the student.

Most waited moment of the occasion, Prize Distribution is announced – Trophies & Medal are distributed to all the Winners.

After that C.E.O. & Founder Director Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla Garu read the School Achievements Report 2018 & Mentioned Abhyasa performance at nationals level competitions and awards received.

Followed by speech of Chief Guest, who asked the children to follow & nurture their passion, & wish all the best for their bright future.

As every formal occasion this program ended with National Anthem.

All the Students left for their Dusshera & Diwali Vacation.

93rd Birthday Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

It is our blessing and good fortune to be contemporaries of the Avatar of the age who has incarnated with a blissful form, sweet name and unparalleled divine sport. Abhyasa celebrates His 93rd Birthday with love, dedication and enthusiasm with various programs spread over 9 days. Abhyasa wishes all of you a divine life, surcharged with pristine love for our beloved Swami.

Abhyasa International Residential School, Toopran celebrated Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 93rd Birthday grandly with a plenty of service activities including free medical camp, free distribution of medicines, grama seva, screening of selected international films in the local government schools, conducting a 3K Go Green Run, sports & games for the local schools and youth, distribution of essential commodities like vessels, rice and jaggery to the poor etc.

These 9 days celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s 93 birth anniversary concluded on Friday, 23rd November 2018 with all the students and staff participating in the Nagara Sankeerthana and Narayana Seva in the morning session. The students decorated the amphitheatre with arch lights, flowers and a special Jhoola was arranged for the evening program. The evening program included vedic chanting, singing of bhajans & devotional songs, screening of videos of experiences by devotees, quiz program on Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s Life & Message and concluded with mangala harathi. Later the students went for Karthik Poornima Moonlight walk into the farms and later enjoyed a delicious sumptuous dinner. Abhyasa staff and students experienced divine bliss surcharged with pristine love for our beloved master Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

3 Km Go Green Run 2018

The 3 Km Go Green Run by Abhyasa International Residential School was organized on 19th November, 2018 at Toopran as part of the 93rd Birthday Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The Abhyasa students actively initiate environmental awareness events. The prime objective is to sensitize the students towards a greener and cleaner ecosystem. By partnering with surrounding schools, colleges and youth clubs to promote Green Architecture and contribute towards dramatically reducing the carbon imprints on nature.

The day began at 9.00 AM as Mr. Vijay Kumar, Registrar, Abhyasa International Residential School flagged off the Go Green Run. More than 150 Students from surrounding schools and youth participated and competed for the clean and green environment. The winners of the run were awarded with medals by our chief guest Mr. G. Srinivas, Mandal Praja Parishad, Chairperson-Toopran.

Medical Camp

On the eve of 93rd Birthday of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Abhyasa organized a free medical camp on 18th November 2018 at its campus. A team of 6 Doctors who are also the parents of Abhyasa students have participated for this seva activity. The inauguration was done by lighting of the lamp. The camp included Gynecology, ENT, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, General Medicine and Ophthalmology apart from the general check-up like height, weight, blood pressure, sugar, blood grouping etc.. Later free medicines were distributed to all the patients. Free food was arranged for the patients. Around 350 people from Toopran and surrounding areas have taken the advantage of the services and facilities provided. Abhyasa Students have volunteered to the services and did all the arrangements as required for this camp.

Childrens's Day Celebrations at the Garden of Happiness - The Abhyasa

Children’s Day: All the hearts were pounding – that of the teachers and the taught, as it was a very special day for both. Yes, 14th November 2018, Children’s Day which was celebrated by all the Abhyasa family members with fun and fervor. The staff of Abhyasa made the day very special for the students.

A mock assembly was conducted by the teachers, which entertained the students. Teachers participated in Quiz, News Reading etc. Quiz was fun filed hosted by Mrs. Srujana. The sportive spirit of all teachers won the appreciation of students when they participated in the Special fun- filled Assembly.

After the assembly, all the students gathered in their classrooms -for the routine classes. It was 6 O’ clock in the evening and all the students assembled in the Amphi theatre for the cultural programmes organized by the teachers. Every Student is welcomed as Chief Guest by showering Flowers & Rose water.

Cultural Programmes are started as tradition by Lighting the Lamp by All Student Managers. Mr.Seshu Babu, Dean Academics, Sung Prayer song. Followed by the Dances & Skits by Teaching & Non Teaching Staff. Motto was to entertain the students, Students were delighted, the programme went upto 08:00 pm, from where all the students were served with special dinne…

The starry night ended with memories in heart.

Abhyasa Hosted National Drawing & Painting Competition

Abhyasa International Residential School hosted the National Drawing & Painting Competition 2018 for the All India Association of ISC & ICSE Schools at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad on 17th November 2018. The themes of the competition were “What Freedom means to me” & “Global Village’ for the senior and junior categories respectively. The young artists from all the regions of India brought out their latent creativity by splashing vibrant colors on the canvas and gave vent to their imagination and aesthetic exploration creating magical visual expressions on the canvas. The occasion was graced by Mrs. Vani, daughter of Ex. Prime Minister of India Sri. P.V. Narasimha Rao, an eminent and renowned artist & Founder of SV Fine Arts College was the Chief Guest. Mr. Subhash Babu, renowned artist & painter and Ms. Harika judged the paintings made by the participating student artists on the parameters of creativity, composition, interpretation of theme and colour scheme. On 18th November 2018 the results were declared and the prizes were distributed.

Let’s stand up for equality, justice and human dignity. Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December – the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Abhyasites celebrated International Human Rights Day by Talk in Morning Assembly, Preperation of Charts, Decoration of Campus boards & Candle March in Toopran Streets.

Abhyasites started walking over the streets of Toopran spreading the message “All Humans are born Free & Equal in Dignity & Rights” by displaying placards, posters & holding Candles.

Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla, CEO & Founder Director has received the honors from Actress Raveena Tandon on 28th January 2019 at Hyderabad in a star studded ceremony.
Welcoming an another New Year 2019

The time where history of another successful year closed the chapter of 2018 and opened a new chapter of another year with the name called “2019”

The well decorated stage show cased cultural programmes by Middle and High school students. The audience thoroughly enjoyed the assortment of programs that included dances and singing.

The countdown was there to remind before celebrations begin for the New Year to stop and reflect on the year that has gone by to remember both our triumphs and learning’s, our promises made and met the times we opened ourselves up to great adventures. New Year is all about – getting another chance, a chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more and above all to stop worrying about what if and start embracing what would be.

The camp fires steadily burning in the Amphi Theatre stood as they witness for another unique celebration of the event. Children circled around the camp fire.

After the sharing of the cake, the atmosphere went ga – ga – over the tune of blaring music and the rhythm of dancing feet.

May the spirit of a remarkable New Year usher in good tidings for all of you. Wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR from Abhyasa.

Abhyasa 23rd Birthday & International Yoga Day Celebrations

23 years of Success, 23 years of Glory, 23 years of Excellence, and 23 years of Legacy… Abhyasa has grown from shore to shore and on its way to give its best.

21st, June, 2018 the day started with whole devotion of Nagara Sankeerthan, students of all the classes right from Class 4 to 12 woke up early, ready by 05:30 am. The pallaki was decorated in which Bhagavan Sri Satya Sai Baba’s idol was placed.

The senior students accompanied in lifting the pallaki and the other students were involved in singing bhajans of Baba. After returning back to school all the students gathered near the temple for the final Aarti and the Sankethan was successfully accomplished.

Right after the Aarti all the students moved to the Amphi Theatre in order to celebrate the International Yoga Day. As every year, this year too Abhyasa organised International Yoga Day celebrations where all the students performed Yoga Aasanas in coordination with the Yoga teacher.

Later in the evening the Amphi Theatre was beautifully decorated and organised by the Senior students. The CEO & Founder Director of our School Mr Vinaayaka Kalleetla arrived to the school by 04:30 pm. There was also an alumni meet organised by the school to celebrate Abhyasa’s Birthday collectively with the old students. At 05:00 pm CEO Sir was escorted by a group of students to the Amphi Theatre and the Cultural night started after lighting of the lamp by CEO Sir.

A beautiful invocation song was sung by a group of singers from various classes followed by a splendid dance by the students of Aalingana, then the show was completely stolen by a splendid music performance by the Mithra brothers who played violin accompanied by Daksh and Vishwa with Drums and Congo, the recital started with classical fusion and went on with numerous hits and ended with a tune of Pirates of the Caribbean.

This music performance was one of the best performances so far in Abhyasa. Later, the present students of Class 10,11 and 12 who have been in Abhyasa since past 4 years and more have shared their experiences and the changes which they’ve gone through, which was followed by the Alumni students who came up to share their views and recollect the by gone time and years. Few of the students who shared their view were Veekshit, Jashwanthbamar, SahithBandi, Srianjali, Vignesh who reminisced their time in Abhyasa which gave the students an insight into the past.

Later, our CEO & Founder Director Mr Vinaayak Kalleetla addressed the gathering and spoke to the Alumni’s about their life outside Abhyasa and what changes they felt after coming to Abhyasa.

Later on the celebrations moved on to a next level with dance performances by students of both the junior and senior class girls followed by Cake cutting with a fireworks show. All the junior students and the staff were present on the stage during the cake cutting ceremony.

There was an interactive session between the senior school students and the Alumni’s in the presence of CEO Sir where the Alumni’s shared their views on the change.

The day ended with a scrumptious dinner for the students and also the Alumni’s.

Toopran Mandal Youth Games 2018-19

Few days after the extravagant sports day event in the campus, the Abhyasa had organised another sportive event “TOOPRAN MANDAL YOUTH GAMES 2018-19 on 21st and 22nd of this month on the occasion of Sri Satya Sai Baba’s 92nd birthday celebrations here in Abhyasa. The Priyanka’s play ground had been setup completely for the students of different schools in Toopran Mandal to come forward to participate.

The Priyanka’s play ground has regained its sportious spirit back again with the hard work of the class 11 students. The students of class 11 have taken an initiative and the whole responsibility of conducting -‘THE Toopran Mandal YOUTH GAMES’ 2018-19. The students renewed the volley ball, Kho-Kho courts completely for the event. On the first day, students from various schools in Toopan have come along for the opening ceremony where the, Sub-Inspector of Police Mr.Subash garu had been invited as the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest was escorted by Student Managers from the front office to the play ground. Then the students from each school, participated in the Olympic Torch run around the ground holding the torch.

After the lighting of the lamp the Chief Guest was felicitated. The games were started by the Chief Guest playing volley ball. Many schools participated in different sports which were organised by the 11th graders.

The students played with a great spirit of sportsmanship. For the first day the games were held only for the girls. The scorers and the referees were the 11th class students. Simultaneously the other games like 100mts Run & Kho Kho were conducted.

Girls from 10 different schools and Colleges participated.

The Very next day,i.e. 22nd Nov 2018, Games for Toopran Mandal School Boys $ for Youth were conducted.

Totally Students from from 14 Different Schools and 12 Youth Clubs were participated. Lunch and Refreshments were arranged for the players as well as for Coaches & School Authorities. Games finished by 3.30pm in the evening.

MPP of Toopran, Sri Gummadi.Srinivas Garu, was invited as cheif guest for Closing ceremony & Prize Distribution for the winners.Cheif Guest along with our School Registrar Mr.B.Vijay Kumar garu, School Dean of Academics Mr.P.V.Seshu Babu Garu Distributred the Medals , Cups & Certificates to the Winners.

MPP of Toopran, Sri Gummadi.Srinivas Garu, Praised the works of Abhyasa in the development of Toopran mandal, He thank the Management and also given a valuable speech Encouraging the Girls students participation and all other players. Lunch and Refreshments were arranged for the players as well as for Coaches & School Authorities.

All the Participants & Participating schools were given Participating Certificates.

Guru Purnima Celebrations at Abhyasa

Abhyasa celebrated Guru Purnima in Amphi theater on Friday i.e. 27th July 2018.

Guru Purnima is an auspicious occasion celebrated to pay respect to the Guru of all Gurus, Ved Vyasa.

The festivity began in the early morning hours when students and staff assembled in front of Vishnu Temple for Nagarsankirthana. The students and staff went round the campus singing bhajans and devotional songs.

The evening session began with the decoration of Amphitheater with lamps & flowers from 6.30pm students sung bhajans along with the chanting of Gurustotrams.

The programme was attended by all students and staff. It is an annual event held every year in the school to make the students aware of the importance of Guru in their life.
