Ganesh Chaturthi
Lord Ganesha is considered the God of Wisdom and Knowledge. He is also referred to as Mangal Murthi, the symbol of prosperity, happiness and welfare. As Lord Ganesha brings in positivity every auspicious work begins after worshipping him.
Ganesha Chaturthi the auspicious occasion of his birth is celebrated with great enthusiasm by his devotees world over.
The beauty of Hindu festivals is that they impart knowledge to the devotees without making them do cumbersome tasks. The devotees of the Lord Ganesha pass a happy colourful life during the 10 days of Ganesh Chaturthi and at the same time, they get spiritually enlightened. The act of immersing the idol of the Lord and mixing it with the elements of the planet shows that the Lord is actually everywhere. He is omnipresent. He is looking after us all throughout the year, and that is quite reassuring. “Ganapathi Bappa Morya, Mangal Murti Morya”.

A grandmother is someone who adores her grandkids fervently and completely. Grandmothers offer direction, knowledge and understanding. Grandmothers have a wealth of life experience that can only be acquired by personal experience. Almost everything has been seen by them. Onam Celebrations and Flower Decoration Competition
Onam is celebrated in remembrance of the good governance under the rule of Mahabali, a mythical king who ruled Kerala. They sent Vamana to earth in the form of a dwarf Brahmin who trampled Mahabali to patala (netherworld). Vamanan asked Mahabali for three feet of land as his wish from the generous Mahabali. Since denying gifts to Brahmin is considered a sacrilege, Mahabali agreed to fulfill Vamana’s wish. In the first two feet Vamana measured the entire universe, leaving nowhere to place his third foot. Mahabali offered his own head to place his third feet making the wish complete. However, witnessing Mahabali’s generosity, Vishnu granted the king’s sole wish to visit his land and people once every year. This homecoming of Mahabali is celebrated as Onam in Kerala every year.
As a part of Onam Celebrations, an inter-house Floral Carpet was held today morning at 5:30am and given two hours of time to Shiva, Shakti and Sarvaa house. Old Age Home Visit
Help Ever…… Hurt never
As a part of our social commitment the students of grade VI and VII of our School were taken to Dangoria old age Home, Narsapur.
The Visit to an old age home is quite heart throbbing and unforgettable for the students. The initiative made them realise the value of genuine true life and sharing and caring. There were 40 inmates in the house and majority of the Senior citizens were above 75. It is truly disheartening and distressing, since all of them were lovely and craving for love and affection. The students served lunch and interacted with them. Our students sang song worth them. The inmates were spontaneous in sharing their feelings and woes with us. The concern taken by the staff of the old age home was inspiring indeed. The Old Age home visit was initiated by Team Rural Service of our School.

The fire, which shines with its brilliance on Holika Dahan decomposes the raja-tama particles in the atmosphere. The day prior, however, is known as Holika Dahan or Choti Holi. A huge bonfire is made and students circumbulated around it . Everyone is aware about Holika and Prahlad’s story , but here comes the scientific reason : “Holi actually marks the end of Spring and beginning of Summer.” The crops, trees, in general the atmosphere heats up throwing out various types of bacterias and viruses. These germs get killed due to the bonfires across cities. People use cow dung and ghee in bonfire, the smoke of which helps in eliminating these bacteria and pollutants from the environment. Holika Dahan, on the other hand, is performed to burn all that is dry and dirty to pave the way for new life in the spring. Following the tradition when people perform Parikrama (go around the bonfire/pyre), the heat coming from the bonfire kills the bacteria in the body and cleanses it
