Bhagwan Shri Satya Sai Baba's Jayanti Celebrations 23rd, Nov 2013
On 23rd of November we celebrated Shri Satya Sai Baba's Jayanti. All students except 10th and 12th class went for Nagar Sankeertan in the morning.
A beauty Palkhi was decorated to carry Baba's photo. The children started with Vedic Chanting and filled the air with Spirituality. Mr Bhasker (Dy. Dean) took initiative and started with Bhajans and was supported with Khanjira. It sounded so wonderful. The entire atmosphere became so spiritual that the Gods too showered their blessings in form of sprinkles.
We went through Toopran for around Three Kilometres carrying the well decorated Palkhi which carried Bhagwan Shri Satya Sai's Photo. People from all the houses came out to take Darshan of Baba. It was a heavenly morning and I am sure everyone involved felt the love of Bhagwan Shri Satya Sai Baba's blessings.
The evening started with Narayan Seva. This year it was Baba's 88th Jayanti. So we distributed 88 pairs of clothes to the underprivileged people from Toopran.
Distributed the clothes in a very orderly fashion in front of Temple. The Chief Guest Mrs Shivamma who is the President of Toopran Mandal, arrived soon after for the Prize Distribution ceremony for the youth games which ended a few hours before. Around 200 youth's participated in the Event which lasted for 2 days. A grand prize distribution was done and the winners were awarded with Trophies and Certificates and Medals.
After that the students assembled in play pen for Bhagwan's Birthday celebrations.
The program started with Bhajan sung by students, which was followed by Birthday song with the support of Music artists which were specially invited by Bhaskar Sir(DY.Dean). A short video presentation was shown of Baba and some stories were told followed by discourse and Darshan.
After that the team sung the Jhula Song. The students gave speeches in Telugu, Hindi and English and a group dance was performed followed by Mangala Arti. A short movie was shown after that which was followed by sumptuous dinner.
