RATHA SAPTHAMI-2018
Ratha Saptami is celebrated across India to mark the end of winter season. It is a Hindu festival celebrated on the seventh day of the month of Maagha. It represents the turning of the Sun God towards the northern hemisphere. This day is also celebrated as the birthday of the Sun God as it is after this day that the Sun is believed to pick up all radiance and shine with growing brightness.
With this day, begins spring officially. Ratha Saptami has several legends associated with it.
In Abhyasa, Abhyasites performed Surya Namaskaras on the occasion of Ratha Sapthami in Amphitheater, Special Breakfast is servred marking the occasion.
