Teacher's Day
Teachers' Day has a touch of perfect tradition where the students perform Paada Pooja to their Gurus seeking their blessings. This is done to imbibe the culture of obedience towards Guru and also to revive the dying traditions.
It was at the evening session when the celebrations began. All the
teachers were invited to the Priyanka's Play Field on the campus. The
students in order to test the agility and the alertness of their Gurus conducted
a small game before starting Paada Pooja. Every teacher had to identify his
nametag stuck on the chair within 5 minutes. Mind you… all teachers proved
themselves to be in perfect shape. After the completion of Paada Pooja the
programme continued with presentations to all the staff members along with
certificates of appreciation to a selected few for their consistent work and
achievement.
Then followed the fun–filled activities. It was joyful to watch Teachers playing games over the stage conducted by the students. Games like – The Numbers Game, The Freeze, Count the Trampled Tomatoes etc., were the highlights of the programme. Of course, nothing can beat the dance performances presented by the students to entertain the staff.
Did we forget something? Yes. We did. The students decorated the dining hall beautifully transforming the whole ambience and inviting the staff for a special lunch. The students personally served every member till they were sure that all the bellies were full.
