UGADI Celebrations-2018 at Abhyasa

Abhyasites celebrated Ugadi on March 18 2018, The arrival of the new telugu calender year, VIALMBI

All the children turned up dressed in traditional attire giving the school an all-new vibe.

The celebrations reflected the nativity of Telugu culture in each aspect, from educating kids about Telugu poets through Kavi Sammelanam to explaining the underlying philosophy behind Ugadi Pachadi, The mix of Ugadi Pachadi: Mango (Tang ) for surprise, neem ( Bitter) for Sadness, Jaggery (Sweet) for Happiness, Tamarind ( Sour) for Disgust, Pepper ( Hot) for Anger, Salt ( Salty) for fear All these six Flavours may come across the life, the new year need to be started with a trailer of this Mix.

Homam was performed as a part of rituals infront of School temple all the students attended & received Uggadi Pachadi & Prasadam. Followed by Panchanga Sravanam by Temple Preist.

Followed by Special Lunch Consists of Andhra Special Sweet, Baakshalu ( Sweet chapathi), Mudda Paapu ( thick Dal, Andhtra style), Mango rice etc...

All the students relaxed from Exam mood for a while & enjoyed the New year arrival.
