About Us
Abhyasa (Estd. in 1996) is a boutique residential school with classes from Grade Four to Grade Twelve, affiliated to The Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (I.C.S.E. & I.S.C.) New Delhi. With Girls & Boys from all over India & Overseas, the school admits only 300 fully residential students to ensure personalised attention for the all round development of every pupil!
Founding Pillars of Abhyasa
Abhyasa came into existence thanks to the magnanimous gesture of the Kalletla family who contributed liberally towards the construction and permitted the school campus to come-up on their sprawling family property at Toopran With support from Parents – Mr. Rangadass, Mrs. Padmavathi; Siblings – Vasudev & Raghu Ram, Vinaayaka Kalleetla the second son founded “Abhyasa Residential School” in June 1996, under the auspices of Sri Sathya Sai Sanskruthi Educational Society (Regd.), as a semi-autonomous, self-financing and non-profit organization.

A unique child-centered curriculum offers a wide range of activities that discovers an individual’s talents and moulds a genius out of every child! Abhyasa is a melting pot of Science and Spirituality, Commerce and Common-sense, Creativity and Conformity, Learning and Unlearning too….that prepares an individual not only for a living but also for life!
Enhance the physical quotient of the students by making them physically fit, strong, healthy and dexterous, while preparing them for growth and survival in a competitive world. Make them agile and efficient for hard work and effective instruments for the achievement of their life’s objectives.
A high physical quotient ensures a strong, perseverant and alert mind – so that the basic mental abilities of cognition, concentration, comprehension, recollection, reflection and reflex action would be fine-tuned to further aid higher intellectual processes in the child.
Train students to enquire into the nature of events and existence; Guide them to analyze the how and why of occurrences, correlate facts, integrate information, synthesize knowledge, skills and values into applications, filter before a judgment and weigh the outcomes before considering them.
Motivate children to critically question existing beliefs, identify new problems that need creative solutions and develop intuitive insights into unfathomable phenomena. Constantly innovate for beneficial application to life, and above all, enable them to effectively communicate all that they think and feel!
Facilitate students to experience the beauty of colors, enjoy the melody in sounds, wonder at the rhythm and symmetry of shapes. Make them aesthetically alive by induction into various arts – so that they develop graceful expression through dance, feel the ecstasy of music, emote through drama and express their abstract feelings through painting.
Enable students to experience the rich and vibrant Indian culture in all its facets through festivals, food, attire and art forms so that they internalize a culture that reflects their identity, respects their self-esteem and binds them with their fellow men and women in a diverse pluralistic society not only in India, but in the global context too!
Enhance the Make students behaviorally refined and morally forthright by imbibing self-discipline, self-confidence, self-esteem, along with apt etiquette and essential life skills. Inculcate inter-personal skills that foster mutual co-operation, respect for authority, loyalty towards family, friends and fellow citizens with a sense of responsibility that makes them sensitive towards the society and the environment.
Train students to be self-reliant, hardworking, resourceful and industrious for achieving perfection in all tasks that they undertake. Teach them to appreciate diversity in cultures and religions and adapt a harmonious collective living. Induct practical thinking, general awareness, managerial abilities and leadership skills that aid them in goal setting for career and life.
Strengthen the emotional quotient of students by constantly guiding them in conflicting situations to choose the appropriate reaction such as – empathy vs. endurance; poise vs. humor; rationale vs. devotion; criticism vs. appreciation; dignity vs. humility; outrage vs. patience; wonder vs. insight; courage vs. compassion; velour vs. composure; determination vs. detachment and so on.
Endow them with the wisdom of discrimination, intuition of right action and values that harmonize intentions, words and actions. Induct students into the process of self-enquiry through introspection, discussion and meditation to understand the basic spiritual truths of existence: Who am I? Why am I here? Where am I going? Experience the ecstasy of being, Develop equanimity to accept all outcomes and serve everyone, with love!

I can confidently say that Abhyasa’s approach in handling children is highly child centered and the environment enables all-round development of a child. My son Sai Ram was intellectually fine, but his emotional and social development took place only at Abhyasa. His self esteem and confidence are on a high and I am very relaxed ever since Abhyasa became the de facto guardian of my only child!

Sri Sudhir Bhai Goyal – Father of Ms. Gori Goyal (Student of Abhyasa from 2007-2013) Hailing from Ambodeya village, Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.
Originally a trader at Ujjain, Sudhir Bhai was inspired to found the Swadham Ashrama Ujjain which takes care of leprosy patients who have been discarded by their family members.

Ms. Qaisra Nazeen – Mother of Sahil Chahal (Student of Abhyasa from 2005-11). She was born in Sindh state of Pakistan and later moved to live in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as an Education Consultant. She currently works as a teacher at Cambridge, on the outskirts of London, United Kingdom.

Wing Commander S.K. Murthy – Father of an all-rounder student, Sai Dhruv (Student of Abhyasa from 2007-14).
Mr. Murthy is currently serving as an instructor at the Indian Air Force at the Dundigal Air Force Academy, near Hyderabad.
Skill Development & Specialisation
Mr. D. Gautham – Father of Siddharth Dathrik (Studied at Abhyasa from 1998 – 2005) is a Chartered Accountant at Hyderabad. He is also a member of many service organizations and officiated as the District President of The Rotary Club of Hyderabad. His son Mr. Siddharth is also currently a Chartered
Accountant in Hyderabad.

Today, information via satellite and internet is bringing the whole world into homes, making them no longer safe for a child’s psychological health. A child needs better discipline and constant guidance to choose the right things in life. After my 35 years of experience in day schools, I find that Abhyasa students accept instructions readily because there is uniformity in lifestyle in a residential school than at home. An ideal Home cannot be replaced, but I feel that Abhyasa can replace an ideal home!

I belong to the 1st batch of Abhyasa and secured 91% in ICSE-2000 exams. Life has been a roller coaster ride but it was at Abhyasa that I began to evolve into a mature and sophisticated individual that I am today.
