The 67th Republic Day was celebrated with pomp and splendor at Abhyasa. The celebrations started with all the students participating in a short Marathon Run from the Toopran Police Station to the Abhyasa School Campus. Mr Venkat Reddy, DSP. flagged off the run. As the DSP signalled the flag all the boys and girls started their run with full enthusiasm, spirits and efforts. The winners of the run in both boys and girls category were given the honour to hoist the National Flag in the presence of Principal Mr. Srinivas Murthy. Master Santosh Reddy and Miss Aishwarya Wadiyar of Class XI won the race in boys and girls category respectively by reaching the finishing line first. After that the students walked in rhythm on the drum beats. It was wonderful to watch all the students walk in perfect unison and coordination. Class IX boys won the winner's trophy for the best march past.

By 9:15am the much awaited cultural program started. The school conducted various competitions for the students in the following events: Quiz (History of India from 1865 to 1947), Stamp Designing (Role of youth in Nation Building), Elocution (Pros and Cons of Technology) and Group Dance (Patriotism / Secularism). Sweets were distributed to all the students after the morning session. Prizes were distributed to the winners in each of the competitions. The Principal addressed the gathering. He enlightened the audience through his eloquent speech. Filled with patriotic spirit and enthusiasm, the program ended with singing National Anthem by 11:00 am.
