Abhyasa celebrates her Ainnnual Sports Day every year normally on the last working day of the first semester. This year it was held on 18th October 2015 at the school campus. The preparations began almost a month back with all the students and staff practicing for the day. Excitement was at its peak for the event as well as for the vacation which was about to begin. Mr. T. Vikram, IPS, DIG, CISF, NISA Hyderabad was the Chief Guest for the Annual Sports Day. The Chief Guest was accompanied by Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla, CEO & Founder Director of the School in a procession from the Administrative Block to the 'Priyanka's Playground'. The procession was led by Poornakumbham, followed by vedic chanting, dandiya dance, school band and escorts marching in a slow march. From the entrance of the playground they proceeded for the inspection of regiments on an open top jeep. The chief guest inspected the parade of the students and then declared open the sports meet by releasing 2 white doves and balloons. He then lighted the Sports Meet torch which was carried by 5 Ace sportsmen who won National Medals for Abhyasa and was handed over to Master Kumar Devanand to light the Sports Meet Flame.

The parade was led by Kumar Devanand followed by the Vice-Captains of the school. Apart from the eight contingents - 4 each of the two houses Shiva and Shakthi, there were also contingents of all the 9 student management groups viz. Academic, Activity, Art & Culture, Campus, Discipline, Mess, Rural Service, Spirituality, Sports and Value Champion. There was a separate contingent for the 6 values of Abhyasa.

Opening ceremony of the Sports Day began with a traditional Lambadi dance, a dance on patriotic song by Aalingana students, display of Kung-fu, Yoga and mass drill. This was followed by a 4x100 meters relay race for the super senior category which was won by Shiva House. Parents also participated wholeheartedly in the run specially organized for them. Gents had an 80 metre run whereas for ladies it was musical chair. Prizes were distributed to the students and parents who excelled in various inter house events held across the year. Prof. Shastri, a Governing Body Member had placed before the audience the Annual Report for the year 2015. The Chief Guest spoke on the values required for the current generation and how Abhyasa is contributing towards the same. The sports meet ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Vijay Kumar, Registrar. The CEO & Founder Director, Mr. Vinaayaka Kalleetla later felicitated the Chief Guest with a Shawl and Memento.

The students then left for the Dussera - Diwali vacation with lots of fun and memories.
