Abhyasa Celebrated Ganapati Nimarjanam on 9th September 2019

Shouts of 'Ganapati Bappa Moriya' filled the air as it was time for us to say 'good bye' to our most favorite god, Lord Ganesha. Students felt blessed to have the opportunity of lifting the Lord's decorated Palanquin on their own shoulders, and did so with utmost respect and admiration. The tiny tots of Grade IV dressed up as Lord Ganesha led the procession. Students and even teachers danced and sang joyfully till they made a final good bye to the 'idol' of Ganesha which had been kept in the pooja for nine days, taken in a colorful procession through the streets of Toopran for immersion. Prior to the starting of the procession, a pooja ritual was conducted, culminating in 'Harathi'.. Finally, 'Agle baras tu Jaldi aa...' was the call given just before immersion, which means, 'we are waiting for your arrival Lord, come quickly next year'.

Ganapati immersion procession was a welcome change for students, who enjoyed singing and dancing along the streets.
