Raksha Bandhan
"Abhyasites Celebrate Raksha Bandhan with Joy and Unity" In a heart warming display of camaraderie, the students of Abhyasa International Residential School came together to celebrate the cherished festival of Raksha Bandhan. The school premises were filled with laughter, joy and the spirit of siblinghood as girls adorned their wrists with vibrant rakhis and tied them onto the wrists of their Classmates. Raksha Bandhan, a festival that symbolizes the unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters, took on a special significance within the school walls. Beyond the traditional norms of blood relations, the event showcased the inclusive ethos of the institution, with girls extending the gesture of tying rakhis to boys, cementing friendships and strengthening the sense of unity among all students. Decked in traditional attire, the students gathered in the Amphitheatre where colourful threads of love and protection were exchanged. The air was filled with a palpable sense of affection and responsibility, as boys wholeheartedly accepted the rakhis and in return, offered tokens of appreciation and promises to be there for their "sisters" whenever needed."It's not just about the ritual; it's about fostering bonds that go beyond gender or biology," remarked the school principal. "Raksha Bandhan at Abhyas is a beautiful representation of the values we uphold mutual respect, support, and a sense of togetherness. The celebration left a lasting impression, reminding everyone that relationships built on care and empathy transcend societal norms and expectations. As the day's festivities drew to a close, it was evident that Abhyas International School had once again succeeded in creating an environment that not only nurtures academic growth but also nurtures the human spirit.
